Lemmy is the frontman, vocalist and bass guitarist for the legendary British Heavy Metal band, Motorhead.
Lemmy joined psychedelic rock band Hawkwind in 1971, playing bass and occasionally singing. You can hear him on their 1972 classic "Silver Machine".
He then formed Motorhead, named after the last song he ever wrote for Hawkwind. Lemmy is the only member of Motorhead to have been in the band consistently since it was formed in 1975.
