Read more »Painting the bark on birch trees is an interesting study. Trees are an important subject in many landscape paintings. Include a sketch pad in your art supplies, and, when making a sketch of your picture before painting, note how the branches leave the main trunk and how the smaller branches taper to the ends of the twigs. A study of bare trees will help in the placement of the leaf masses.
